UMT Press offers its books to bookshop owners on the “sales and return” policy, whereby the bookshop owner can select an assortment of our books to display at their shop and pay for only those books that have sold.
However, detailed terms are put forth for each seller after in-person or telephonic discussions with UMT Press. Usually, a three-month period is agreed upon for updates regarding the books that have been lent to the vender.
UMT Press holds the right to pursue legal action against any seller or vender who refuses to return the books that have not been sold and also refuses to make payments for those that have been sold. It is stated clearly in our contract that you either pay for the book or return the stock at the end of the agreed-upon period. Failure to do so will push UMT Press to pursue legal means for the collection of our dues.
